La paroisse a été fondée le 20 octobre 1967 par l'évêque Josef Stangl et, le 23 novembre suivant, le projet était approuvé par le Département de l'Éducation et des Cultes de la Bavière. La pierre angulaire de l'église a été posée le 27 juin 1969 et l'église elle-même a été bénite le 15 mars 1970 par l'archevêque Alfons Kempf. L'édifice, qui peut accommoder 500 personnes, a été conçu par les architectes Pohl et Blenk, de Schweinfurt.
Le clocher est formé de deux disques de béton. L'un d'eux se situe dans l'axe de l'église tandis que l'autre est dans un coin. La traditionnelle croix du clocher a été remplacée par trois croix en mosaïque dorée insérées dans les murs de la tour. Trois cloches, fondues par les frères Bachert, de Bad Friedrich, ont été inaugurées le 1er octobre 1989 et ont résonné pour la première fois le 5 novembre suivant.
Les 14 stations du chemin de la croix, réalisés en résine synthétique et huile, ont été inaugurées le 12 mars 1989 et sont l'oeuvre de l'artiste Rischar, d'Aschaffenburg. Peu avant la fête de Pâques en 1990, un Christ triomphant, oeuvre du sculpteur Peter Vollert, de Üchtelhausen, a été installé dans le sanctuaire.

L'orgue a été inauguré le 5 octobre 1979.

The parish was established on October 20th, 1967 by Bishop Josef Stangl and on November 23rd of the same year by the Bavarian State Department for Education and Cult. The church's foundation stone was laid on June 27th, 1969 and the church itself was blessed on March 15th, 1970 by Archbishop Alfons Kempf. The building, which can accommodate 500 people, was designed by architects Pohl and Blenk, of Schweinfurt.
The bell tower is made of two concrete discs. One of them stands exactly on the church axis, while the other is built in the corner. Instead of a tower cross, three golden mosaic crosses are inserted in the walls of the spire. Three bells, cast by the Bachert Brothers, of Bad Friedrich, were inaugurated on October 1st, 1989 and were rung for the first time on November 5th next.
The 14 stations of the the cross, made from synthetic resin and oil, were inaugurated on March 12th, 1989 and are the works of artist Rischar, of Aschaffenburg. Shortly before Easter 1990, the chancel was completed with a triumphant Christ, a work of sculptor Peter Vollert, from Üchtelhausen.
The Organ
The organ was inaugurated on October 5th, 1975.
